Community Rules:
I. Respect
The number one issue that we feel is important here is respect. Each of us has our preferences, but BASHING and FLAMING of other characters/pairings is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This community is about love/lust, not hate, and we’d like the atmosphere to reflect such.
However, if you would like to express your opinions about why you like a particular character/pairing, feel free to share. Just try to refrain from making comments about how/why your character/pairing is better than other characters/pairings.
II. Art/Fiction Theft:
Here at DBZhentai, we feel that art/fiction theft is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. That said, be aware that we will NOT accept stolen work as submissions/donations or even fave/collect it under any circumstances. Additionally, if we discover that any member of this community has been in some way dishonest about the art/fiction posted in his/her profile, they will be IMMEDIATELY BANNED. Also, we will feel no hesitation in reporting the guilty party to site administration.
No one here on DBZhentai has yet violated this rule (that we're aware of), so let's please keep it that way. We don't wish to enforce banning, but we WILL NOT HESITATE if we find you guilty of art/fiction theft. The integrity of our group -- even our whole fandom community -- is at stake.
III. Joining
Joining is simple; leave a comment on the group and/or add us to your friends/watch list and a member of the staff will take care of your request.
As a member, you are NOT required to participate in the group contests/activities. If you would prefer to remain an inactive observer/supporter, that’s your prerogative. So long as you abide by the group and site codes of conduct, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the submissions with the rest of us.
IV. Affiliation
Similar to the joining procedure, if you would like to affiliate your group with ours please leave us a note/comment. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible and add you to our list.
V. Donation
1 ) To submit a fanart/fiction donation to the group, send us a note with a link to the original devaition in your personal profile. Please be sure to state specifically that it's a donation, however, so that we don't accidentally upload something that we aren't supposed to.
OR
If there's nothing specific that you'd like us to post on the group and you're okay with anything from your profile being added to our gallery, simply send us a note to that effect and we'll take the rest from there.
2 ) Your donations MUST be PG-13 ( T ) -rated or higher to be posted in our gallery. After all, we're DBZhentai, meaning that any/all non-spicy works belong elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a club venue in which to showcase your work, check out our affiliates page; surely one of them will have room for your donation.
3 ) Since this is an ADULT group, we ask that all of the characters featured in your donations be eighteen years or older. NO CHILDREN ALLOWED, even in artwork. (For more info on why we included this rule, please see the site Terms of Service, Section 19, subsection d.)
The only exception to this rule would be the inclusion of a child character as a NON-PARTICIPANT in the sexual activities featured in your work (ie, chibi Pan accidentally walking in on her parents is fine as long as she doesn't join them).
4 ) Het, yaoi AND yuri alike are welcomed by the club. Works featuring single characters or groups are also acceptable.
5 ) There are NO other specific guidelines/regulations for donated artwork. If you say we can post it, we will (though bear in mind that content rated-R ( M ) and above WILL be filtered).
VI. Contest Submission
1 ) To submit an entry to one of our contests, please upload your work of art/fiction to your private DA account and, in a comment or note, send us a link to it. One of the staff members will upload a copy of your fanart to the DBZhentai gallery so that the entire group might enjoy it. We’ll be sure to include information that leads viewers to the original post and credits the artist/author properly.
**NOTE: If you'd like to submit a fanfiction entry but don't wish to upload it to your personal DA profile, that's fine; We'll take a link from ff.net or another site instead. All ARTWORK, however, must be posted somewhere on DA.
2 ) Your submission MAY be romantic in content, but this is not a requirement; a work featuring the assigned character and the assigned character only is perfectly okay with us. Het, yaoi AND yuri pairings/groups are also acceptable (assuming that any group displays the assigned character prominently).
3 ) If you would like to include other characters/pairings in your submission, that’s perfectly fine with us. However, the featured character of the month should be present as the main attraction (ie, Goku should be central to your December entry, there should be focus on Videl in your July entry, etc).
4 ) We accept both Computer Generated and traditional works of art, so never fear if you’re unfamiliar with photoshop.
6 ) Your entry MUST be new! If it's ever been previously posted, we canNOT accept it as contest art. The idea behind this group is to generate more/new fanart for the DBZ hentai-loving community, not celebrate what it already has.
7 ) As stated above in the donation rules, all of the characters present in your entry MUST be eighteen years or older. (For more info on why we included this rule, please see the site Terms of Service, Section 19, subsection d.)
Again, however, there is ONE exception to this rule; as long as the young character is NOT a participant in the sexual activities taking place, you may include him/her. (ie, if chibi Pan accidentally walks in on her parents in June or July, that's fine. Just don't have her join them.)
8 ) Be sure to read the GENERAL GUIDELINES section as well. They will give you (slightly) more specific instructions on the contests themselves and what is/isn’t acceptable in submissions. You can find them here on our Mission Statement page.
VII. Judging
1 ) You have an ENTIRE month to submit your entries. You may begin submitting on midnight of the first of the month and must be sure to get us your entry by the last day of samesaid month. We understand that differing time zones will affect submission time, so please try to get your entries in by 6:00 AM (CST) the following morning.
2 ) Once all entries have been collected, judging will begin. This judging period will last an entire week – from the first of the following month until the seventh – and owners, group members, entrants, etc will have to vote for their favorites before the end of it. Just as stated above, we’ve factored in the time zone issue and decided that, as long as everyone submits their vote by 6:00 AM (CST) on the 8th of the given month, their vote can be counted.
Ex: The contest from August will be voted on between September 1st and 7th.
3 ) Much like on other DeviantArt groups, the winners will be decided through voting. On the first of the month a journal entry will be opened up listing the month’s entrants and asking you to pick your favorite. Please choose wisely; you only get to vote for ONE entry per section.
4 ) Owners and other members of staff ARE allowed to enter the contest(s). Since the winners are decided upon by the group and not the staff, there’s no reason why they should be excluded.
VIII. Contest Awards:

1 ) A first place winner will be chosen every month for both the fanart and fanfiction sections. Each will receive a completed fanart/fiction of their choice by a group volunteer/owner.
2 ) The second and third place winners for both sections will each receive a drabble/sketch request of their choice by a group volunteer/owner. (NOTE: Sketches will be outlined, but not colored. A "drabble" is a short story between 100 and 1000 words.)
3 ) The group members will choose the winners each month by commenting on a designated post. Whoever receives the most votes will be declared the winner.
